The School Day

The school day begins at 8.55am and finishes at 3.20pm.

Your child can arrive in the school playground from 8.45am onwards. In the event of wet weather children should go into the school hall.

Breaks
All children have a 15 minute break in the morning, and children in Reception and Year 1 & 2 have an additional break in the afternoon. We encourage healthy eating within the school, so your child may bring a piece of fruit to eat at breaktime, but no sweets are allowed. We also recommend that your child brings a named sports bottle of water with them everyday.

Lunch
We are fortunate in having a kitchen on the premises supplying good meals.
The cost of  school meals is:

1st Half Term £76.00
2nd Half Term £68.00		   Full Term £144.00

Alternatively your child may eat packed lunches in the area provided in the school hall. Changes from dinners to packed lunches require half a terms notice.

There is now an option for children to have either school or packed lunches on specified days.

For any queries regarding lunch please speak to Mrs Cardy, our School Secretary.

Absences
If your child is absent from school, please telephone the secretary and let her know the reason by 9.30am. On the day of return to school please write a note for the class teacher’s records.

Family holidays during term time are not encouraged but if in exceptional circumstances, parents wish to take a holiday during term time they must fill in a holiday form in advance of the vacation, as leave is granted at the Headteachers’s discretion.

School Closures
In the event of unexpected school closures, such as in bad weather we will attempt  to inform you by issuing a bulletin on the local radio station (BBC Southern Counties 104.0 and 104.6)
